Supporting recovery across Dundee

Dundee Recovery Map

About this project

The Dundee Recovery Map is a free tool to help people find recovery and wellbeing services across Dundee.

Why it exists

Dundee has a strong network of recovery services but accessing them isn't always easy. A previous service directory went offline due to unsustainable hosting costs, leaving a gap in a resource many people relied on.

This prototype map was built to fill that gap: a zero-cost, open, and maintainable replacement to make services more accessible to those who need them.

Who maintains the data

Service information is maintained in partnership with Parish Nursing Dundee, who work directly with local recovery services and community organisations across the city.

All contact details are publicly listed by the respective organisations. If you manage a service and would like to update your listing, correct an error, or add a new service, please get in touch.

The technology

The map is built using open-source tools including Leaflet.js and OpenStreetMap, hosted free via GitHub Pages.

No personal data is collected. No cookies are set. No tracking.

Future development

This is an active project. Planned improvements include accurate data updates, a mobile app for iOS and Android, and possible expansion to cover the wider Tay Cities region including Perth, Angus, and Fife.

If you represent an organisation interested in partnership or funding, please get in touch.
