Privacy Policy
Overview
The Dundee Recovery Map is a static web application. It does not collect, store, or process any personal data directly, with the exception of information voluntarily submitted via the contact form. This policy explains what limited data may be handled and by whom.
Data
No personal data is collected directly through use of the map. There are no user accounts, logins, or analytics tracking on this site. The only personal data collected is that voluntarily provided via the contact form, described below.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies. No tracking cookies, session cookies, or preference cookies are used.
Hosting
This site is hosted via GitHub Pages. GitHub may log basic server access data (such as IP addresses) as part of their standard hosting infrastructure. Please refer to GitHub's Privacy Statement for details.
Third-party services
The map uses the following services:
- Leaflet.js - an open-source mapping library
- OpenStreetMap - open map tiles. OpenStreetMap's own privacy policy applies to tile requests.
Service directory data
The service listings on this map contain only publicly available information about organisations and services, including names, addresses, phone numbers, and opening hours. This information is sourced from publicly available directories.
If you represent a service listed on this map and would like to request a correction or removal, please contact me.
Contact form
If you use the contact form on this site, the following data is collected and processed:
- Name - to address your reply
- Email address - to respond to your enquiry
- Message content - to understand and respond to your request
This data is submitted securely via FormSpree, a third-party form processing service. FormSpree acts as a data processor on our behalf. Submissions are retained by FormSpree for up to 30 days on their free tier. Please refer to FormSpree's Privacy Policy for details of how they handle data.
Your contact data will not be shared with any third party beyond FormSpree's processing role, and will only be used to respond to your enquiry.
You have the right to request deletion of any submission. To do so, please contact me with the details of your submission.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated if the nature of the site changes, for example, if analytics are introduced in a future version. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised.
